ICC Champions Trophy 2025: will Make You Surprise

This time the hosting of ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is with Pakistan. However, political tensions and security concerns between India (BCCI) and Pakistan (PCB) are creating a serious situation. So right now BCCI is refusing to go to Pakistan. So now PCB is looking for a solution. The 2025 ICC Champions Trophy in Pakistan has sparked a major controversy between India and Pakistan, with India refusing to send its team due to security concerns. The Pakistan Cricket Board rejected a proposed “hybrid model” for India’s matches.

Champions Trophy : Considering hybrid model:

As we know that all the matches of Asia Cup 2023 were played not in Pakistan but in Sri Lanka on a neutral ground. So it is possible that Champions Trophy 2025 is also played on a neutral ground in UAE.
So the question is whether Pakistan will adopt it or not

India’s position:

BCCI has clarified that participation is dependent on the permission of the Government of India.
while till now Indian Govt. is not allowed to BCCI to go to Pakistan as per security concerns. Every one knows that Sri Lankan cricket team was attacked in Pakistan on 4 March 2009. And since relations between Pakistan and India are tense, Indian government’s concern is also justified.

Pakistan’s proposal:

At present, Pakistan PCB has sought a response from BCCI through ICC on the basis of security concerns and is waiting for the response. While BCCI has made it clear that they are not coming to Pakistan because there is no permission from the government.

Champions Trophy : Role of ICC:

This matter should be decided in the 2024 annual meeting. So possibly all the matches of the Indian team can be held outside Pakistan. A final solution is expected in the coming months.
